Lynn R. Chamberlain, 57, of Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at home surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at Lux Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan, 401 S. Main, Mt. Pleasant MI 48858. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Lynn was born March 30, 1948 in Ann Arbor, the son of Ray W. and Katherine L. (Dwyer) Chamberlain. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1966. He received his B.S. from Central Michigan University and J.D. (Juris Doctor) from the University of Detroit in 1974. He has been practicing law for 31 years. He married Virginia Neuenfelt-Beck at his parents home with his brother, Hon. Paul Chamberlain presiding. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. Lynn is survived by his wife, Virginia of Mt. Pleasant; two children, Ben Chamberlain of Pleasant Ridge and Elizabeth Chamberlain of Georgia and their mother, Jane Short of West Branch; three step-children, Andrew Beck of Waco, TX, Kimberlee Beck and her fianc Christopher Bond of Royal Oak and Mahlon Fredrickson III of Cedar Springs; his mother, Kay Chamberlain of Mt. Pleasant; four brothers, Fred (Dr. Peggy) Chamberlain of Crystal Lake, IL, Hon. Paul (Sue) Chamberlain of Blanchard, Ray W. (Janet) Chamberlain of Minneapolis, MN, and Dennis (Judy) Chamberlain of Grand Rapids; five sisters, Jan (Bob) vonReichbauer of Saginaw, Loretta (Doug) Palmer of Grand Haven, Vicki (Gary) LaBelle of Mt. Pleasant, Nancy Laming of Jacksonville, Fla., and Linda (Steve) Henderson of Crystal Lake, IL; and his faithful labrador retriever, Duke. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Ray Chamberlain in 1997.
