Jane Resetar, 85, of Mt. Pleasant died Monday, May 3, 2004, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen (621 S. Adams St., Mt. Pleasant) or Veterans Memorial Library (301 S. University, Mt. Pleasant). Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Jane was born August 9, 1918, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Ada (Floberg) Bickenbach. She married Albert Resetar December 27, 1954, in Benton Harbor. A resident of Mt. Pleasant since 1963, Jane graduated from Northern Iowa University in 1940 and later received her Masters degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1951. She taught in Benton Harbor from 1945-1958. She was past president of the Mt. Pleasant Womens Club and was also a member of the Faculty Dames of Central Michigan University. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and past treasurer of the Altar Society. Jane is survived by her son, Mark Resetar of the Mt. Pleasant area. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Resetar; and son, John Resetar.
