Marcia Blair Stacy

Marcia Blair Stacy of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, passed away at the age of 81 at Mt. Pleasant Comfort Care on March 28, 2026. Marcia was born in Mt. Pleasant on January 12, 1945, to Marcia (Dusenbury) and Everett M. Rupert. She married the love of her life, Lt. Terry Stacy, on June 19, 1969, in Little Creek, Virginia, and they were blessed with a son, Andrew. Marcia graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1963. She then attended Central Michigan University and received a degree in Elementary Education in 1967. She taught school at Pullen Elementary in Mt. Pleasant for some years. She devoted the rest of her life to raising her son, Andrew.

Marcia is survived by her loving husband, Terry Stacy, her son Andrew, and her granddaughter Ezmerelda. Also surviving are her brother, Mark Rupert, and his daughters Erin and Tracie. Sisters-in-law are Penny Leathley (Tom) and Pat Harris (Richard), and nieces Lisa and Suzanne and their families. Her beloved pets, Gina and Spirit, will miss her greatly.

Marcia was an avid gardener and had many beautiful plants and flowers at her home on the river.

Marcia and Terry were world travelers and visited every continent but Australia. Iceland is where she fell in love with Icelandic horses and imported several of them to her farm on Britton Road.

She was a huge supporter of all things Central Michigan University. She especially supported the men's football and basketball teams. Please consider memorials in her memory to the Chippewa men's football or basketball teams, as well as H.A.T.S.

Marcia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister-in-law to her family and will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcia and Everett Rupert.

A memorial service will be held for Marcia later in the Spring.
