Margaret " Peggy Sue" (Wernette) Edwards, age 56, of Weidman passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015.

Margaret was born on February 23, 1959 to Daniel and Phyllis (Abbott) Wernette in Mt. Pleasant. Peggy Sue, as how all her friends and family referred to her as, graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1977. Her most favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Peggy Sue loved to knit and crochet.

Peggy Sue leaves to cherish her memory her father, Dan Wernette; children, Caleb Barr of Traverse City and Kendra (Adam) Wade of Texas; 2 grandchildren, Aylyn and Asher; two brothers, Jeff (Rita) Wernette and Paul Wernette; nephew, Andy (Samantha) Canon and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Peggy Sue was preceded in death by husband, Rick Edwards; her mother, Phyllis Wernette on 4-20-12 and two sisters, Connie Wernette and Julie Roche.

A Celebration of Peggy Sue's life will be held on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 2:00 P.M.With a luncheon starting at 3:00 P.M. at the Maier Family Funeral Home
