Margaret Warner, 72, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at home, surrounded by her family. A Funeral Mass for Peg will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Shepherd with Father Fred Kawka presiding. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Peg was born Aug. 17, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late John H. and Ruth Irene (Lawens) Dalrymple. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1960 and married Robert Warner on Feb. 27, 1965, at Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Pleasant. She was employed by Central Michigan University for 26 years in the College of Extended Learning Marketing Department. She retired in 2004. Some of her favorite pastimes were flower gardening, archery, bowling, visiting the casino, and shopping with her daughter and sister. She was very artistic and had a passion for painting Christmas ornaments and water color paintings. Peg is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Robert; two children, Christopher (Jane) Warner and Barbara Warner, both of Mt. Pleasant; three siblings, Larry (Patsy) Dalrymple of Lake Isabella, Carol (Denny) Anderson of Perrinton and Bill Dalrymple of Whittier, CA; sister-in-law, Kathy Dalrymple of Mt. Pleasant; many nieces and nephews; and granddogs, Gus, Charlie, Timber, and Lucy. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Dalrymple.
