Margaret M. Rogers, 93, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007 at her sons home in Edmore. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at3 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Norval K. Morey Cancer Center at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Margaret was born July 12, 1913, in Shepherd, the daughter of Joseph Casper and Katherine (Dubek) Swetz. She married Vernie Rogers April 26, 1941 at Sacred Heart. A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Margaret was a stay-at-home mom raising seven children. She enjoyed gardening, watching CNN and spending time with her family. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Parish. Margaret is survived by seven children, Judy Graham of Battle Creek, Richard (Ramil) Rogers of Ohio, Margaret Colosky of Farwell, Patrick (Linda) Rogers of Edmore, Mary (Jim) Denoyer of Petoskey, Vern Rogers of Iowa, and Anthony (Pam) Rogers of Kalamazoo; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Alberta) Swetz and Tony Swetz, both of Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters-in-law, Rosella Swetz and Carol Swetz, both of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernie in 2004; two sons-in-law, Michael Colosky and Jack Graham; and two brothers, Joseph and Steven Swetz.
