Margaret P. Theisen

Margaret P. Theisen, 86, of Mt. Pleasant died Monday, June 25, 2007 at New Hope Assisted Living. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan, Childrens Special Health Care(3423 Martin Luther King Blvd., P.O. Box 30195, Lansing MI 48909)or New Hope Assisted Living (702 E. Remus Rd., Mt. Pleasant MI 48858). Margaret was born Aug. 17, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Charles A. and Agnes (Daniels) Marz. She married Howard Theisen on Aug. 24, 1946 at Sacred Heart. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, baking, and traveling. She especially loved entertaining people and having family and friends drop in. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and the Catholic Daughters. Margaret is survived by four children, Charlotte (Bill) Ramsey of Highland; Jean (Don) Goheski of Traverse City; Ron Theisen of Mt. Pleasant and Nancy (Mike) Klumpp of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Tricia (Tom) Giroux, Jennifer (Kevin) Sweigart, Bill (Katy) Ramsey, Jr., Heather Ramsey, Sharon (Gary) Smith, Don (Amy) Goheski, Ryan Klumpp, and Maggie Klumpp; five great- grandchildren, Juliana, Ashley, Michael, Jordan and Noah; one brother, William Marz of Grand Rapids; and two sisters, Eloise Theisen of Mt. Pleasant and Thelma (Tom) Walker of Mt. Pleasant She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard in 1995; three sisters, Marion Reid, Helen Smith, and Rita Hauck; and two brothers, Charles and James Marz.
