Margie R. Shaffer

Margie Lee (Lewis) Shaffer, born October 7, 1942, passed away at home in Mt Pleasant, Michigan on December 31, 2021. She worked at several banks, enjoyed family, painting, and wood craft. She is survived by her husband, Royce Shaffer; daughter, Carol Lawson of Astoria, IL; sons, Royce
"Roger" Shaffer, Jr. of Howard City, and Douglas Shaffer of Weidman; sister, Myrna Kennett; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren (with one on the way). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Shaffer; father, Hazen Lewis; mother, Veva Lewis; three brothers, Hubert Lewis, Robert Lewis, and Howard "Bud" Lewis; and two sisters, Melva Hawkins and Mary Hawkins. Margie's wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a memorial service on a later date.
