Marian (Wezensky) Keehbauch-Carpenter

Marian Keehbauch-Carpenter, 93, of Rosebush and formerly of Leaton, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Rosebush Manor. She was born July 8, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Frank A. and Mary (Costira) Wezensky. Marian married Harold Keehbauch on June 12, 1948, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Leaton. That union was blessed with six children, Mary Angela, Barbara, Harold Glenn, Richard, Patricia, and Sandra. After his death in 1982, Marian married Morrie Carpenter on June 13, 1992, at St. Henry Catholic Church. From 1946-1950, Marian was employed as an operator at Union Telephone which later became General Telephone. After the birth of her six children Marian began working for Isabella County as a switchboard operator in 1972, retiring in 1992. She continued as a fill-in for the next 10 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and former member of St. Henry/St. Charles Parish. Marian loved her family and took immense pride in her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She leaves behind four children, Mary Angela Hopkins of Mt. Pleasant, Barbara Hogan of Mt. Pleasant, Richard (Teresa) Keehbauch of Mt. Pleasant, and Sandra (Mike) Hanson of Muskegon; sister, Judy Robbins of New Jersey; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Wezensky; husband Harold Keehbauch; husband, Morrie Carpenter; son Glenn Keehbauch; daughter, Patricia Owen; and brother, Pat Wezensky. A Funeral Mass for Marian will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski as celebrant. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to Mass. Immediately following Mass, a luncheon will be held at the Lincoln Reception Center (located next to the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home). Her ashes will be interred in St. Henry Cemetery on a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Rosebush Manor. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
