Marie E. Huber, 87, of Mt. Pleasant went to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Saturday from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 8 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Marie was born March 5, 1917 in Isabella County, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Hentges) Conroy. She married Donald E. Huber Oct. 24, 1937 at Sacred Heart. She worked as a housekeeper for 22 years, primarily in Beddow and Sloan Halls on the campus of Central Michigan University. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and enjoyed bowling, watching baseball, and attending sporting events of her grandchildren. Marie is survived by eight children, Donna (Larry) Bullard, Rita (Carl) Eisenberger and Jerry (Dorothy) Huber all of Shepherd, Esther (John) Haupt of Beal City, Jim (Nonie) Huber of Mt. Pleasant, Ruth (Kenneth) Abbott of St. Louis, Bob (Gail) Huber of Shepherd and Patty (John) McHugh of Lansing; two daughters-in-law, Evie (Terry) Hovey of Rosebush and Penny (Perry) Danielski of Blanchard; 48 grandchildren; 110 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Richard (Margaret) Clevenger of Shepherd. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; two sons, Ed and Ken; two grandchildren, Don Bullard and Annette Huber; her brother, Charles Conroy; and sister, Agnes Clevenger.
