Mark Pasch, 46, of Beal City went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 22, 2006 while at his home, surrounded by his family. A celebration of Marks life will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at Mt. Pleasant Community Church with Pastor Scott McKee and Rev. Ralph Fisher co-officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until the service begins. Visitation continues at the St. Joseph The Worker Church on Tuesday from noon-2:30 p.m. and 6:30-9:00 p.m. There will be a rosary at 1 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday from 9:30 until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. John Cotter presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mark Pasch Childrens Educational Fund or Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes will be available at the churches or at Lux Funeral Home. Mark was born Nov. 17, 1959 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Raldon and Rosalia (Faber) Pasch. He married Betty Smith on Jan. 14, 1984 at St. Joseph The Worker Church. He graduated from Beal City High School in 1978 and received his associates degree in Animal Science from Michigan State University. He was an accomplished lifetime farmer and was in partnership with his two brothers in the family dairy farm. Mark was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3651 in Beal City, the Holstein Association, and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He belonged to the MHSAA as a basketball official. Some of his favorite pastimes were basketball, refereeing, coaching, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, camping, water skiing, snow skiing, attending his childrens sporting events, scuba diving, traveling, farming, and gathering with family and friends at Littlefield Lake. Mark is survived by his wife of 22 years, Betty of Beal City; three children, Kristin, Jon and Nick Pasch, all at home; his parents, Raldon and Sally Pasch of Beal City; four brothers, Mike (Gail) Pasch of Beal City, Robert (Mary) Pasch of Beal City, Stanley (Ann) Pasch of Lake Leelanau, and Leo (Pauline) Pasch of DeWitt; two sisters, Nancy (Leo) Albert of Stanton and Joyce (David) Timm of Plymouth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
