Marla (Barnes) Henderson, age 86, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, surrounded by her caring nurses and staff at Medilodge of Mount Pleasant.

Marla was born to Earl and Martha (Bell) Barnes on April 27, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Marla graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1958 and married her high school sweetheart, Lance Fuller, on March 19, 1959. She attended Central Michigan University (CMU) before working at Leonard Oil Company in Alma. In 1960, the couple relocated to Rockford, Illinois, where Marla worked as a secretary at Hill Rockford Company. In 1969, they moved to Cadillac, Michigan, with their two young children, where Marla worked as a secretary to the pharmacist at Cadillac Hospital. She later became the cash and fleet manager for Kysor Industrial Corp., a position she held for many years.

In 1982, Marla returned to Mt. Pleasant, where she worked as a buyer for CMU until her retirement. She was briefly married to Charles Henderson of Mt. Pleasant in 1984. Marla spent many years with her partner, Clifford Bill Collin, until his passing in 2014.

Since 2014, Marla has been a resident of Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant, where she received loving care in their memory care unit. She was a loving mom and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Lance Fuller Sr. of Manton, Michigan; her daughter, Jackie (Fuller) Beeson; son-in-law, Chris Beeson; and two grandchildren, Brooke and Andrew Beeson, who reside in California. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Martha Barnes; sisters Mindy Lowery and Janice Anspach; brothers David Barnes and Denny Barnes; her son Lance Fuller Jr; sister-in-law Alice (Fuller) Rolston; brother-in-laws Bill Rolston Sr. and George Fuller; mother-in-law Doris (Crandal) Fuller; and her father-in-law Bruce Fuller.
