Martha Reihl, 77, of Beal City died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Joseph The Worker Church in Beal City with Father John Cotter officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beal City Athletic Association, St. Joseph School, or to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Martha was born October 17, 1924, in Beal City, the daughter of William and Christine (Tilmann) Faber. She married Joseph N. Reihl June 7, 1947 at St. Philomena Church in Beal City. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Council of Catholic Women. She was a devoted wife of her late husband, Joe; and proud mother of seven children, Rose Ann (James) Sheahan of Lake, Harold (Peggy) Reihl of Brighton, Vera (Ron) Bollman of Mt. Pleasant, Howard Reihl of Beal City, Edward (Annette) Reihl of Lake, Helen Reihl of Brighton, and Joseph W. (Jennifer) Reihl of Beal City; 12 grandchildren, Dave (Barb) Sheahan, Nick Reihl, Josh Reihl, Brook (Ed) Schumacher, Jennifer Reihl, Angie Bollman, Jeremy Reihl, Joel Reihl, Cory Reihl, Sarah Reihl, Nathaniel Reihl, and Kayla Reihl; one great grandson, Ryan Anderson; five sisters, Sally (Raldon) Pasch and Irene Schmidt of Beal City, Mary Hemgesberg of Freeland, Sister Cecelia Faber of Gaylord and Sister Doris Faber of Montana; one brother, William (Kay) Faber of Beal City; one sister-in-law, Lollie Faber of Mt. Pleasant; one brother-in-law, Martin Applegreen of Big Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe in 2000; three brothers, Harold Faber, Walter Faber, and Art Faber; and one sister, Jean Applegreen.
