Martin Donald Campbell

This is the story of a man, a myth and most definitely a legend, Marty Campbell. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, neighbor and friend to so many. Marty took his journey home peacefully surrounded by his entire family March 20th, 2017. Martin Donald Campbell was born July 25th, 1957, to his predeceased Mother and Father Kay and Donald Campbell of Sumner. Marty married his best friend and love of his life of over 37 years, Kristi (Pollard) Campbell of Barryton and was a proud father to his two children Tim (Misty) Campbell of Weidman and Tara (Howard) Cyphert of Lake. He is survived by his sister Cary (John) Len of Stanton and his brother Mike (Chrissy) Campbell of Sumner. Marty was the proudest grandfather to his ten grandchildren; Steven, Peirce, Coralee, Gage, and Evan; and Tustin, Jayden, Shayla, Konner and Raelyn. Although Marty was a legend of the Barryton community for over 30 years, he was born in Dimondale, MI, but spent his adolescent years growing up and raising hell in the Sumner Area. Marty lived to go fast, ride hard, and enjoyed riding the highs in life. Marty chased any exhilaration he could find and do in life. If it had a motor, he was the man to tell you Hang on and watch this. He loved to go fast with wind on his face, whether it was in one of his many muscle cars, on his boats or riding his motorcycles as a member of ABATE. If he wasnt racing, he was getting muddy or climbing trails in his trucks or on his quads. He was the wisdom everyone went to, sought out and could trust. Whether it was working the parts counter at DJs Auto in Barryton, wrenching on cars, giving engine diagnostic help or one of the many neighborhood kids looking for just a buddy to hang out and laugh with. Marty had the biggest, kindest, giving heart, always lending a helping hand, and always having an open door for anyone in need. Truly a friend and good man to all, he was the proudest loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. God Speed Marty. Youll be missed by many. A Celebration Of Life luncheon will be held in Martys honor for ALL friends, family, and community members at the Barryton Community Building on Saturday, March 25th beginning at 1pm.
