Mary M. Denslow, 83, formerly of Mt. Pleasant and Hale passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Carveth Village in Middleville. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, at Lux Funeral Home with her son, Gary Denslow officiating. Burial will be in Pine River Cemetery in Blanchard. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association (P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312). Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Mary was born January 17, 1924, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Bernard W. and Flossie M. (Buhrer) Kane. She married Fay Denslow January 25, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant. She graduated from Blanchard High School and retired from Central Michigan University food services in 1984. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing, cooking, gardening, crocheting, and embroidering. Mary is survived by her four children, Suzann (Terry) Presson of Grand Blanc, Betty Denton of Clare, Gary (Pat) Denslow of Jenison, and Chris (Jennifer) Denslow of San Antonio TX; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three brothers, Tom Kane of Florida, Paul (Faye) Kane of South Lyon, and Pat (Pauline) Kane of Vestaburg; four sisters, twin sister, Margaret Abbott of Blanchard, Gert Beach of Blanchard, Ann (Don) Voss of Blanchard, and Betty (Doug) Pratt of Weidman; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fay in 2002; and two sisters, Lenore Foster and Helen Brownridge.
