Mary Ann Fisher, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital in Saginaw surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mary Ann was born Jan. 14, 1930, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Archie and Wilma (Keeley) Ellerthorpe. She married Ralph Bud Fisher on March 31, 1951 at St. Brigid Church in Midland. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. Her family describes her as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother all her life who dearly loved her family and friends. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Ralph Bud Fisher; two daughters, Sue (John) Giannotta of Shelby Township and Mary Jo Swindlehurst of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren, Aaron (Angie) White and Dana (Doug) Moore, both of Lake Isabella, and Kyle (Carrie) White, Darcie Swindlehurst, Keeley Swindlehurst and Jesse (Crystal) Swindlehurst, all of Mt. Pleasant; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Jack, Thomas, Archie and Daniel Ellerthorpe.
