Mary Louise Riley, 83, of Riverdale and formerly of the Beal City area passed away Sunday, January 20, 2002 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, at St. Joseph Church in Beal City with Father John Cotter officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 8:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Louise was born Sept. 15, 1918, in Beal City, the daughter of John and Anna (Reihl) Faber. She married William Riley June 2, 1941 at St. Philomena Church in Beal City. She was the secretary for 25 years at Bader Milling, now known as Morris Brothers. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Altar Sodality, the Senior Citizens in Weidman, and a volunteer with Food for Friends. Louise is survived by six children, Steven (Sharon) Riley of Alma, Pat (Glenn) Miller of Riverdale, Jean (Jerry) Smith of Weidman, Bill Riley of Shepherd, Eileen (Dale) Tilmann of Weidman and Joe (Patty) Riley of Weidman; three daughters-in-law, Joyce Riley of Rosebush, Lena Riley of Mt. Pleasant and Josephine Riley of Mt. Pleasant; 24 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; three brothers, Gerald (Veronica) Faber of Rosebush, Ed (Joann) Faber of Shepherd and Frank (Shirley) Faber of Clare; one sister, Catherine Pasch of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1962; five sons, Dale, Gerald, Michael, Robert and David Riley; granddaughter, Trisha Riley; grandson, Eddie Riley; sister, Madeline Faber; and brother, James Faber.
