Mary E. Mclaughlin

Mary E. McLaughlin, 77, of Lake Isabella died Friday, November 29, 2002, at her home. Her funeral is 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, at Lux Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Willard of First Baptist Church in Weidman officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 1-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-3 p.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Weidman or to the Mecosta Senior Center. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Mary was born December 5, 1924, in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of Hunter and Mary Thompson. She married Robert McLaughlin on March 5, 1946, in Richmond, Virginia. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weidman, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Weidman and a frequent guest at the Mecosta Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, socializing with friends, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband, Robert McLaughlin of Lake Isabella, three children, Geraldine (Arvil) King of Weidman, Hunter McLaughlin of Gladwin and Robert C. (Carol) McLaughlin of Livonia; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Lucy (Raymond) Lawhead of Columbia, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Hunter Thompson.
