Mary Jane Nestle

Mary Nestle, 87, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Laurels in Mt. Pleasant.  Mary was born January 28, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late John and Virginia (Halsey) Lucas.  She married Karl Nestle on January 21, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant.  Mary enjoyed reading, word searches and dancing.  She was employed by CMU in the communications department. Mary is survived by her son, Scott (Carolyn) Nestle of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughter, Lydia; brother, Richard (Rita) Smith of Greenville, In.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Virginia Lucas; husband, Karl Nestle; son, Gregory Nestle; and several siblings. Mary's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 5, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Daryl Amrozowicz officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
