Mary L. Reddin, 85, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of St. Clair Shores died Thursday, November 21, 2002 in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe. Her ashes will be buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Mary was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Detroit, the daughter of Julius L. and Laura (Meabrod) Berns. She married William A. Reddin June 28, 1947, at St. Clare of Montefalco. She taught for 34 years, retiring in 1974. The last school she taught at was Poupard Elementary in Harper Woods, where she taught grades 3 and 4. She was a member of the Pilot Club of South Macomb and a longtime member of the Detroit Yacht Club. Mary is survived by her brother, William (Bernice) Berns of Mt. Pleasant, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Reddin in 1970.
