Matthew Lee Fisher

Matthew Lee Fisher, beloved son of Gayla and Lee Fisher, brother of Kevin and Michael, passed away November 2, 2001 at his home after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2001 at St. Jude Catholic Church, South Bend. Burial and graveside services took place at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 6 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Beal City. Matt especially loved baseball, soccer, swimming, school, computers, friends and family. His family loves and remembers his positive attitude, courageous spirit, and love of life. Surviving are his parents, Lee and Gayla Fisher; brothers, Kevin and Michael; maternal grandparents, Rose Marie and Richard Funnell of Mt. Pleasant; his paternal grandparents, Patricia Fisher and the late Earl Fisher of Grosse Ile. Maternal family includes Mike and Jan Funnell and their children, Paul, Jill, and Beth of Grosse Ile, Marcia and Pat Funnell and their children Jason, Patrick, and Amanda, and daughter-in-law Kim, of Mt. Pleasant; and Nancy and Bob Vodicka and their children Gina, Joe, and Julayne of Shepherd. Paternal family includes, Paula and Jan Buckner and their children, Kristin and Grace of Rochester, MN, and Nancy and Tom Domanski and their children, Andy and Katie, of Middleton, Wi.
