Michael Douglas Schutt

Michael Schutt, 29, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at his home.
His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Pastor Wally Hostetter of Mt. Pleasant Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with a luncheon following at Deerfield Township Hall.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help pay for funeral expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Michael was born July 29, 1987, in Big Rapids, son of Douglas and Kelly (Carr) Schutt. He had worked as a mechanic for Quality Clutch and Gear, Schutt Built Transmissions, and Marshall Farms. He also worked as a butcher for Five Alarm.
Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, canoeing, working on machinery, and throwing flames. He also enjoyed traveling to Buckley to participate in the steam show.
Michael is survived by his fiance, Ashley Price; daughters, Alexis and Carolyn; parents, Doug and Kelly Schutt of Mt. Pleasant; siblings, Ashley (Tim) White of Mt. Pleasant and Daniel Schutt of Mt. Pleasant; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Carr of Mt. Pleasant; paternal grandparents, Terry and Sylvia Schutt of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his cousin, Nathan Troupe; and two aunts, Lisa Battle and Leann Dupuie.
