Mildred Jones, 80, of Remus and formerly of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at The Laurels of Mt. Pleasant. Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Rick Lopez of Resurrection Life Church in St. Louis officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in West Branch. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Commission on Aging. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mildred was born June 21, 1936, in West Branch, daughter of the late Lawrence and Leatha (Rice) Partlo. She graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School and married Charles Jones on June 17, 1966.She was an avid collector and enjoyed sewing and going to garage sales. Mildred is survived by four children, Jeff (Sue) Jones of Mt. Pleasant, Irene (Rick) Troutman of Bangor, Charlene (Mike) Schafer of Weidman, and Patti (Ed) Simon of Remus; six grandchildren, Nick (Sammi) Jones, Nate Jones, Chelsea (Scott) Gubbins, Cayla (Shelby) Forquer, Abby Schafer, and Dustin (Kayla) Forquer; six great-grandchildren, Madison, MacKenzie, Winter, Jetta, Hunter, and Katie; two brothers, Clyde (Peggy) Partlo of Lansing and David Partlo of Thailand; sister-in-law, Martha Partlo of Fenton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Jones; two sisters, Frances Jones and Florence Partlo; and five brothers, Clarence Red, Walter, George, Otis, and Oscar Partlo.
