Misty Zimmerman, 40, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant with her family by her side. Cremation has taken place and a memorial dinner will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Clare Church of the Nazarene (10160 S. Grant Ave., Clare, MI). The family asks friends and family to bring pictures and memories of Misty to share. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family and will be set up in a trust for future use of her five children. Misty was born October 10, 1977, in Alma, MI, daughter of David and Tonya (Walzak) Zimmerman. At the age of 17, Misty became a CNA and worked in the Health Care industry for 23 years. She was currently employed as a Medical Assistant at the Isabella Citizens for Health in Mt. Pleasant. She loved her job and enjoyed all of her patients. It wasnt uncommon for Misty to take others under her wing and even take them into her home. She was selfless and would never turn anyone away. She enjoyed her work, children, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Misty is survived by her five children, Elijah Zimmerman, Elaina Zimmerman, Ezekiel Bordine, Emy Packer and Eric Packer all of Mt. Pleasant; her father and step-mother, David and Deborah Zimmerman of St. Louis; four sisters, Tracie (Chad) Jones of Farwell, Candi (Mike) Panesi of Murfreesboro, TN, Lexi Veit of Ohio, and Nikki MacDonald of Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Tonya and Randy MacDonald; and an infant son, Ethan Packer in 2016.
