Mitch Endres, 58, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Cemetery in Beal City. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Academy Foundation or Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mitch was born Bernard Mitchell Endres on Nov. 20, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, son of James J. and Elizabeth L. (Block) Endres. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1971 where he was an avid football player. Mitch has owned and operated Endres Trucking for the past 20 years. He was a huge fan of the University of Michigan, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He enjoyed cruising around in his Z28 and spending time with friends at Lake Michigan. He was a loving man, adored by his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and will be missed dearly by many friends. Mitch is survived by his companion of 25 years, Mary Kay Hauck of Mt. Pleasant; his mother, Betty Endres of Mt. Pleasant; four siblings, Daniel Endres of Coldwater Lake, Roxanne Gruss of Mt. Pleasant, Debra Mallak of Austin, TX, and Lionel Endres of Mt. Pleasant; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James, in 2005.
