Monica Andres, 90, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Beal City passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Isabella County Medical Care Facility. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 27, at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Beal City with Father Patrick Jankowiak presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-9 p.m. with the Vigil at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Church or School or Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Monica was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Isabella County, the daughter of the late Frederick and Martha (McGuirk) Sheahan. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Monica married the late Aloysius Andres on April 29, 1944, at St. Henrys Church in Rosebush. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and former member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and cooking. Monica is survived by eight children Philip (LDonna) Andres of Commerce Twp., Gerald (Marcia) Andres of Lake Orion, Richard (Barbara) Andres of Beal City, Robert (Pam) Andres of Muskegon, Mary (Robert) Pasch of Beal City, Marge (David) Allen of Whitmore Lake, Joseph (Elaine) Andres and Jean (Randy) Fouty both of Beal City; son-in-law, Ron (Boni) Pung of Indian River; 26 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Sheahan of Beal City and Fred (Theresa) Sheahan of Flint; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Sheahan and Agnes Fox both of Beal City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aloysius in 2000; daughter Jacqueline Pung in 1991; two grandsons, Joey Pung and Justin Andres; and brothers, Donald, Howard, Raymond, Edward Sheahan.
