Nancy K. Mcguire

Nancy McGuire, 60, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Woodland Hospice House. Cremation has taken place and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice, 2597 S. Meridian Rd., Mt. Pleasant MI 48858. Nancy was born July 31, 1948, in St. Johns, the daughter of Calvin and Dorothy (Elmore) Brewer. She had been employed by LaBelle Management as a prep cook at Big Boy for six years. She was very artistic and enjoyed oil painting and crafting. She was a longtime member of the Order of Eastern Star. Nancy is survived by three children, Matthew (Cary) McGuire of St. Louis, Lori (William) Ames of Shepherd, and Kevin McGuire of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Nathan and Abby McGuire, Jordan McGuire, and Skylar Ames; and five siblings, Shirley (Gerald) Hansen of Clare, Anthony (Beth) Brewer and Larry (Karna) Brewer both of Oklahoma City, OK, Bonnie (Bruce) Woodbury of Rosebush, and Michele (Rodney) Young of Stanwood. She was preceded in death by her parents.
