Nancy Pisoni, age 84, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, at McLaren Central Michigan, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 11, 1940, in Chicago, IL, she was the cherished daughter of the late Murrell Eugene and Lorena Elizabeth (Weikel) Moore.
Nancy graduated from St. Francis Academy in Joliet, IL, in 1958, where she met her beloved husband, Charles J. Pisoni Sr. She earned her bachelor's degree from St. Francis University in 1962. Nancy and Chuck were married on August 25, 1962, at St. Raymond's Cathedral in Joliet.
Her career began as a social worker for Catholic Charities in Chicago, followed by a role as a third-grade teacher. Nancy then dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mother and childcare provider, raising her five children, Charles "Chip", Margaret "Meg", Paul "Buns", Amy, and Nancy Jo "Jo Jo", and her niece, Diane, whom she considered a daughter.
In 1981, Nancy and Chuck settled in Mt. Pleasant, where she became an active member of Sacred Heart Parish, often taking communion to the homebound. Known for her selflessness and warm personality, Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who cherished time spent with her family and friends. She was the most loving, beautiful, and huge hearted person, beautiful in all ways humanly possible. Self-sacrificing, empathetic, and gentle, Nancy will be missed by all who knew her.
