Nancy Jo Poisson

Nancy Jo Poisson, age 76, of St. Louis, Michigan passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Gratiot Medical Center. Nancy Was born on July 5, 1940 in Ontonagon, Michigan the daughter of Adam and Helen Elizabeth (Parent) Neito. On October 14, 1957 in Hubbell, Michigan, she married Joseph Donald Poisson. Nancy was a member of the Nativity of the Lord Parish (St. Joseph Church) in St. Louis. She was a homemaker but also enjoyed being a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, was a Tupperware Lady, enjoyed walks along Lake Superior gathering rocks, and would give talks about the rocks to classes of school children. She enjoyed sewing, being in the choir at church, fish fries and was the best pastie maker ever. Nancy is survived by her four children, Deborah and Keith Woodcock, Maria and Damon Davis, David Pisson and Susan Allen; nine grandchildren, Theresa (Rob), Tina, Carrie, Jacob, Brandon, Joshua, Cheyenne, Christopher and Matthew; and seven great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, a sister, and a granddaughter, Danielle Parker. A celebration of Nancys life will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 from Nativity of the Lord Parish (St. Joseph Church) at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Nate Harburg officiating. Friends and family will gather on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Friends considering a memorial in Nancys memory may wish to consider the needs of the family. Nancys favorite color was cobalt blue. The family would like everyone to wear the color blue to the funeral service if possible.
