Nancy Riggle, 89, of Mt. Pleasant passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2023, at home with her family by her side. Under the tender care of Promedica Hospice. Nancy was born August 7, 1933, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Joseph (Lucille) McDonald and Dorothy (Banks) Kreager. She graduated with the class of 1951 from Sacred Heart Academy. Nancy continued her education at Central Michigan University. She married Ervin Riggle in 1972. She was a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant where she had many positions in the local government, working for the City of Mt. Pleasant, Union Township, and retiring in 1994 from Isabella County. After her retirement, she volunteered for many years as a surgical hostess at CMCH. Nancy enjoyed various hobbies including, reading, crossword puzzles, painting, gardening, cooking, and basket weaving, and she had a love for Yorkies, especially her companion Buddy. She liked to travel but more than anything she loved being home surrounded by her 4 loving daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren. Nancy was an amazing friend and will be missed by many. She had a strong faith; was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and looked forward to her pastoral visits. Nancy has received her crown of life, what a blessing.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Tari (Tom) Semple of Gold Hill, OR, Shari Gamble of Farmington, Julie (Doug) Innis of (San Diego) CA, and Chris (Tim) Narr of Mt. Pleasant; former son-in-laws Mark Cohen and Wes Gamble. Grandchildren, Carly Cohen, Christopher Cohen, Wesley Gamble II, Matthew Innis, Joseph Innis, Thomas Narr, Erica Narr; step grandchildren, Bria Lamb, and Branden (Bre) Recker; step great-grandchildren, Quentin, Damian, Dominic, and Kalia.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ervin Riggle; daughter Mary Jo Wagner; former husband Frank Wagner; sister, Betty (William) Roest; niece, Karen Roest; and aunt Evaleen, (William) Fry. Per Nancy's wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will celebrate Nancy's life with a memorial in August. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Promedica Hospice.
