Norma Jean Oswald

Norma Oswald, 81, of Lake Isabella, formally of Ithaca and Lansing, passed away Thursday, January 26, at home with her family by her side.  Norma was born on August 18, 1941, in Merrill, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Kissane) Sadler.  She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1959.  Later that same year she married Ron Oswald.  They raised five children, Laurie, Mary, Karen, Rick, and Randy.  For 28 years she owned and operated her own upholstery shop in Lansing, together she and Ron lived in Lansing until they retired in 1998 and moved to Lake Isabella, where she enjoyed fishing as often as possible, playing Euchre and marbles with friends and family.  They wintered in Lake Havasu City, AZ for 20 years.  Norma is survived by her children, Laurie (Chuck) Floyd of the Villages, FL, Mary (Roger) Stevens of Lansing, Karen (Jim) Meister of Eagle, Rick Oswald of Lake Isabella, and Randy (Tami) Oswald of Grand Ledge; 10 wonderful grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Beverly (Art) Williams; brother, Ray (Nancy) Sadler; brother-in-law, Terry (Barb) Oswald; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Rick) Lantz.  She is preceded in death by both parents; brother, Danny Sadler; and sister, Joan Brown.  Per Norma's wishes, cremation has taken place.  Norma's memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, January 30, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Damitio officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. All are invited to a luncheon in Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home) following the service.
