Ormond Richard 'Dick' Flynn

Ormond Dick Flynn, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. He was born July 25, 1930, in Isabella County, Michigan, son of the late Russell and Florence (Thatcher) Flynn. Florence later married Roland Abbey. He attended Mt. Pleasant High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1951. He was employed by Campbell Zing. Dick is survived by his cousins, Betty (Ernie) Stark of Higgins Lake, Barb Everts of Clare, Margaret (Bob) Robbins of Lake, Pattie (Jim) Hutchins of Milford, and Mary Jane (Edward) McCormack of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Flynn; and mother and stepfather, Florence and Roland Abbey. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred next to his mother at Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
