Pat, was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, class of 1954. She furthered her education at St. Lawrence School of Nursing in Lansing, Michigan, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. Her educational foundation propelled her into a remarkable nursing career that spanned over three decades.

Her professional journey took her from Petoskey, Michigan, to San Francisco, California, and ultimately back to the Detroit area. Pat devoted 33 years to Chrysler Corporation as an Occupational Health Nurse, distinguishing herself as a board-certified expert in her field. Her leadership was recognized through her presidency of the Detroit Association of Occupational Health Nursing, and she was actively involved in both state and national occupational health nursing associations. In 1996, she retired from her role as Chrysler’s corporate nurse. Among her many accolades, Pat was honored with the Shering Award for excellence in nursing, a testament to the high regard in which she was held by her peers.

Beyond her professional achievements, Pat was passionate about travel, both for work and leisure, covering most of the United States and exploring international destinations. She also enjoyed skiing, golfing, and was an avid player of Mahjong and cards, always eager for a game. In 2015, Pat returned to Mt. Pleasant, where she embraced her community by rekindling old friendships and forming new ones, enriching the lives of those around her.

Patricia is survived by her brothers Tom (Jane) Horgan and Richard (Susan) Horgan; her nephew Richard W. (Alisa) Horgan; and her great-nephew Francis Horgan. She was preceded in death by Francis and Madeline (Thomas) Horgan.
