He led his baseball team his senior year with a batting average over .400. He also holds the all time intramural basketball scoring record with a 57 point game. Pat enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and served on the U.S.S. LaSalle with an amphibious assault team until 1969. After years of searching, Pat met the love of his life, Sharon Haupt and they were married on June 19, 1971 at St. Joseph in Beal City. He studied journalism at Central Michigan University before beginning his work career that included Metropolitan Life, Hartman Motors, Grays Household, a dealer at the Soaring Eagle Casino, and a taxi driver. Sports were always an important part of Pats life and he served as president of the Sacred Heart Athletic Association from 1972-1974. He was a baseball coach for the Mt. Pleasant Little League (The McDonalds team) where he was known as the Quarterpounder . Pat also coached at Sacred Heart and in 1991 won the pony league championship with the Giant sponsored team. You could always count on him to be at the sporting events of his nieces and nephews and then great-nieces and great-nephews, as one of their biggest fans. He also enjoyed Central Michigan University athletic events and most recently volunteered to help at the football and basketball games as a ticket taker. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, and board games. Pat is survived by his wife, Sharon of Mt. Pleasant; son, Ryan of Breckenridge, and Ryans girlfriend, Mary Garcia; brother, Thomas J.
