Pauline Campbell, 96, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, at her home. A Funeral Mass for Pauline will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas Held presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at Lux Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with the Vigil beginning at 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Academy Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Pauline was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Henry and Philomena (Kunkel) Codden. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1937 and married Gerald Campbell on Sept. 19, 1939, at Sacred Heart Church. She worked as a bookkeeper at JC Penney for 29 years, retiring in 1978. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish and the Catholic Daughters. Pauline is survived by two children, Karen (Gale) Travis of Port Sanilac and John (Linda) Campbell of Lake; seven grandchildren, Tim, Christina, Denise, Elizabeth, Aaron, Steve and Jessica; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Verle Codden of Rosebush; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 2011; brother, Avery Codden; infant brother, Earl Codden; and granddaughter, Andrea Sherman.
