Phuong Van Nguyen

Phuong Nguyen, 52, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at McLaren Bay Region Medical Center in Bay City. He was born November 14, 1968, in Vietnam, son of the late Tieu Van Nguyen and Hoa Nguyen. He has been married to his wife, Trang Nguyen for over 30 years. Phuong moved to the United States in 2009 and worked for the family business, Top Nails in Mt. Pleasant, and was a very hard worker. While he didn't have a lot of spare time, Phuong enjoyed fishing. His dream was always to live on a farm. Phuong liked traveling back home in Vietnam to visit his family, and he especially loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Trang; children, Anh Thuy Thi (Thua) Nguyen of Vietnam, Em (Lem) Nguyen of Mt. Pleasant, and Hieu Trong (Hanh) Nguyen of Vietnam; seven grandchildren, Nhu, Hao, Tran, Quoc, Joseph Bui, James Bui, and Nhu y; siblings, Vac Nguyen, Be Nam Nguyen, Dung Nguyen, Nga Nguyen, and Ben Nguyen, all of Vietnam, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nhan Nguyen; and infant sister. Phuongs funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Daryl Amrozowicz officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
