Phyllis Jean Price

Phyllis Jean Lantz Price, 86, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Phyllis Jean was born on January 26, 1930 to Ostie Julia (Hunt) Lantz and John Morris Lantz in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, where her father was the Superintendent of the Pure/Roosevelt Oil Company. After her fathers death in 1934 she moved to Shepherd, Michigan with her mother and siblings until she married. On June 18, 1947 she married Robert Glen Price from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She was a homemaker and mother to eight children. She enjoyed her flower gardens, reading and crocheting. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 1993 and her son Thomas in 1970. She is survived by her children: Jerry (Liz) in Illinois, Susan (Paul) Underwood in Wyoming, David (Linda) and FH, both in Michigan , Cindy in California, Craig (Kim) in Michigan and Kathy in Wyoming, thirteen grandchildren: Wendy (Darren) Underwood, Brian (Sara) Price, Laura Price, Justin Underwood, Rashana Price, Adam Price, Matthew Price, Evan (Teresa) Price, Alana (Fred) Fields, Tom (Aley) Sheredy, Tyler Price, Connor Price, Carter Price and eleven great grandchildren. Grave side services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Wally Hostetter officiating. Interment will take place beside her husband. A memorial service at the funeral home is being planned for later in the summer. Before Phyllis passed, she told the family that in lieu of flowers, she would like memorial contributions to go to the Disabled American Veterans at www.DAV.org/donate.
