Randy James Gibson

Randy Gibson, 59, of Saddle Bag Lake in Evart, Michigan, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids. He was born October 21, 1962, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, son of Willard K. and Marie (DeMoines) Gibson. A graduate of Clare High School in 1980, Randy was employed as a chef for 40 plus years. He worked at various restaurants, most recently as a personal chef at Meemo's in Evart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, mushroom hunting, and just being in nature. Randy is survived by his mother, Marie Bowers of Rosebush; partner, Mark Wilkin of Evart; siblings, Sally (Fred) Spangler of Tulsa, OK, Mary Jane Evans of Rosebush, and Kenneth (Bonnie) Gibson of Crestview, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard; and sister, Rita Smith. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Lincoln Reception Center.
