Raymond Klosowski, 83, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. A Funeral Mass for Ray will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at Sacred Heart Parish Hall. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Parish or Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ray was born Dec. 26, 1932, in Denver Township of Isabella County, son of the late Thomas and Sophie (Mysliwiec) Klosowski. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1951, Ray served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he worked for the State Home for 20 years before taking a position as a probation officer for Isabella County. He was employed as a probation officer for over 35 years, retiring in 2008. During that time he married Janice (Walker) Main on Feb. 14, 1987 at Sacred Heart Church. Some of his favorite pastimes were golfing, bowling and hunting. Ray is survived by his wife of nearly 29 years, Janice; two sons, Matthew (Luz Fernandez) Klosowski of Houston, TX and Martin (Kay) Klosowski of Grandville; one step-son, Chad (Cheryl) Main of Blanchard; six grandchildren, Matthew Klosowski Jr. and Joanna Tolentino, Christopher and Matthew Klosowski, and Carisa and Cirsten Main; two great-grandsons, Quinten and Wesley Klosowski; five siblings, Lucadia Tigani of Livonia, Alfred (Diana) Kloss of Franklin, Shirley Klosowski of Southfield, Leonard (Christine) Klosowski of Fowlerville, and James (Sherry) Klosowski of Miami, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Klosowski in 2001; two brothers, Carl Kloss and Thomas Klosowski; three sisters, Sue Magnotti, Irene Williams, and Josephine Foltz; and half-sister, Celia Kulick.
