Richard A. Brynaert, 78, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at the Laurels in Mt. Pleasant. His memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Richard was born May 28, 1930, in Detroit, the son of Francis and Patricia (Aranyos) Brynaert. He married Juanita Taylor on May 30, 1950, in Detroit. A retired meat cutter at Kroger and Farmer Jack, Richard was a member of the National Rifle Association and North American Hunting and Fishing Club. He also served 12 years in the Naval Reserve. Richard is survived by three children, Steven (Linda) Brynaert of Milford, Cheryl Bardaville of St. Louis, and Daryl (Allison) Brynaert of Port Huron; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis (Lucille) Brynaert of St. Clair Shores and Ronald Brynaert of Texas; and a sister, Patricia Marie Brynaert of Roseville.He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita in 2004; his parents; and a brother, Robert Brynaert.
