Richard Lee Demoines

Richard Lee DeMoines, 58, of Gaylord, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint surrounded by his family after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Cremation has taken place and his Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home (2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant) with Pastor Joe Wentworth of Central Assembly of God officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Richard was born March 21, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Ronald Fairman and late Dorothy DeMoines. He was employed by Lease Management for most of his career and more recently by Arrow Energy Services of Kalkaska. He moved to Gaylord in 1992 and is a member of the Odawa Tribe and Gaylord Eagles. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, camping, classic cars, and horses. He really enjoyed the life he lived and spending time with his family and friends. Richard is survived by three daughters, Melissa Rae (Chad) Konopnicki of Merritt Island, FL, Rachele Lynn (Corey) Hunley of Roanoke, VA, and Marcy Lee DeMoines of Midland; three grandchildren, Cody DeMoines, Carsen Koviak, and Camryn Koviak; two brothers, David DeMoines of Alma and Tom DeMoines of Mt. Pleasant; his sister, Doylene Fockler and her fiance, Larry Smith of Shepherd; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
