Richard W. Gross

Richard Gross, 62, of Coleman passed away peacefully at his home early Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, with his family at his side. He was born Oct. 13, 1948, in Cass City, son of the late William and Winifred A. (Wilson) Gross. He married Karen Potter-Morrison on Aug. 13, 2011. A longtime Coleman resident, Richard was a former employee of Vercon, now known as Hutamaki. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at flea-markets. Richard is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Pamela (Sid) Render of Coleman; son, Andrew Gross and wife Amy Comber Gross of Coleman; step-children, Michelle, Michael and Kim; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin; and cousin, Lynn Cilley. A memorial service for family and friends will be held in September at a date and place to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to Mid-Michigan Hospice Care or to the charity of the donors choice.
