Richard W. Theisen

Richard W. Theisen, age 75, of Mt. Pleasant died Friday, January 18, 2013 at McLaren Central Michigan. Richard was born March 31, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Walter and Irene (Pung) Theisen. He married Bonnie King in Mt. Pleasant on December 28, 1957. He worked at Central Michigan University as a Tool Crib Operator for 30 years. Richard loved to fish in Canada and hunt with his children. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his daughter, Tammy (Jerry) Packer of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Richard II (Jeanette) Theisen of Clare and Mark (Jan) Theisen of Farwell; his grandchildren, Jacob and Steven Smith, Kyle Packer, Mathew Theisen, Becky Sparrow, Crystal and Cody Theisen, Allison and Jessie Theisen; three great-grandchildren, Serina Theisen, Damien and Juliette Smith; two step-grandchildren, Deven and Katie; two sisters, Rosie (Bill) Buschle, and Jodi (Doug) Hura; one brother, Larry (Jackie) Theisen; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for the immediate family will be held in the spring.
