Rodrick "Rick" James Vodicka

Rick Vodicka, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at My MidMichigan Medical Center in Alma.  Rick was born on November 10, 1956, son of the late Robert and Billie (Whaley) Vodicka, in Mt. Pleasant.  He graduated with the high school class of 1974, in Shepherd, Mi.  Rick worked for Prudential Insurance Agency in Mt. Pleasant as an Insurance Agent for over 16 years and retired in 1998.  He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, sports, and dogs.  He was known for his comical personality and was an avid Michigan fan.  Rick also known as "Slick Rick" loved his grandchildren and will be greatly missed by so many.  He is survived by his children, Melissa Modrzynski of Manistee, Matt Vodicka of Mt Pleasant, and Pat Vodicka of Remus; grandchildren, Brody and Blake Modrzynski and Kinley Vodicka; siblings, Bob Vodicka, Ronda (Dan) Cermak, Kay Phelps and Cherine (Curt) Gross; many nieces and nephews; and companion, Martha Hodder.  He is preceded in death by both parents; brother, Greg Vodicka; and brother-in-law, Mike Phelps.  A celebration of life will be planned on a later date.
