Roger Dean Flachs, age 68, of Canadian Lakes, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home. Roger was born on April 15, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Eugene and Flossie Hines Flachs. He married Judy Fountain on September 2, 1967 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Remus. Rogers greatest passions were hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and most importantly his family and grandchildren. He worked most of his life in Sales where he made countless friends and delivered personalized service with a story or two to go along with it. Rogers greatest quality was to always put others before himself. He will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved him. His is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Judy of Canadian Lakes; a daughter, Malissa (Timothy Johnson) Flachs of Canadian Lakes; a son, Brady (Michelle) Flachs of Mecosta; and his four grandchildren, Makensie Moore, Tanner Flachs, Cooper Flachs, and Gunner Flachs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Flossie Flachs. In keeping with Rogers wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church, on M-20 west of downtown Remus. A Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Remus. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation or the Alzheimers Foundation. Envelopes are available at Rowley Funeral Home in Mt.
