Roger was born April 14, 1938, in Chicago, IL, son of the late Arthur and Margaret Green. On November 11, 1961, he married Roselyn M. Andres at St. Marys Catholic Church in Big Rapids Most important to Roger was his family and friends. He had lifelong commitment and passion for supporting his two children Gregory and Natalie and in his grandchildrens many activities. Roger was raised in Westchester, Illinois and a graduate of Ferris State University. He was a man that was very generous with his time and knowledge, offering assistance as a registered pharmacist for over 35 years. After retirement, he enjoyed his winters in Homosassa, Florida with his late wife of 50 years (Roselyn Mary Green) and with his dear friend Ms. Joyce Gayheart. He spent his summers in Traverse City and Rochester, Michigan leaning against the fence watching his grandsons and granddaughters play their next game. Roger had two passions in life besides his family. He was an avid baseball enthusiast, a Chicago Cubs fan and he loved dogs. Thank goodness, Roger finally saw the Cubs win the World Series in his LIFETIME. He can honestly now rest peacefully in the Lords presence. Roger was a devoted Catholic and guided his life with the presence of God within him. As the Lord promises us that he will walk with us during our most troubled times, we as family can just imagine Roger asking if he can walk his dog with the Lord as well. He will be greatly missed by his children, Gregory and Rosanne Green of Rochester Hills and their children, Griffin and Olivia, and Natalie and Christian Steffke of Cedar and their children, Ethan, Paige and Abigail; and sister, Joyce and Canute VanderMeer of Orlando FL.
