Ronald Ian Bryant, 71, of Lake, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at Clare Regional Medical Center. His funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd.. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ian was born April 28, 1941, in Manistique, son of the late Fred and Maude (Woods) Bryant. He married Janice Parks on July 27, 1965 in Pontiac. After her death in 1993, he married Helen (Keith) Rogers October 20, 1995, in Lansing. He was employed by Ajax paving as a cement finisher working primarily on highways. Enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing euchre and cribbage, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ian is survived by his wife of 16 years, Helen Bryant of Lake; three children, Ronda (Randy) Jackson, Deanna (Jack) Fenton, and Tony (April) Bryant, all of Weidman; nine grandchildren, Scott, Josh, Sam, Jed, Michael, Jennifer, Tony, Max, and Alex; seven great-grandchildren, Janice, MacKenzie, Lexy, Michael, Jacqueline, Christopher and Katie; two siblings, Kenneth (Dale) Bryant of Germfask and Virginia Dickenson of Lake; two brothers-in-law, Bill Martin of Appleton WI, Ray Fuja of Durand; sister-in-law, Donna Bryant of Auburn Hills; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice; son, Ronald Ian Bryant II; and ten siblings, Clarence, Charles, Marguerite, Lucretia, Flora, Thelma, Lawrence, Gordon, Bertha, and Jerry.
