Ronald Jordan, 86, of Weidman passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at his home. Ron was born on August 30, 1937, in Houghton Lake, MI, son of the late Elon and Lenora (Young) Jordan. Ron enlisted in the US Navy in 1954, serving eight years; four active and four inactive. Shortly after serving his country, he returned and married the love of his life, Marilyn Stout on November 17, 1961, in Erie, CO. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Valerie, and Jason. Ronald worked as a residential carpenter. But he was loyal to his country and enlisted in the Army National Guard and served for another 12 years. Ronald was employed by Mid-Michigan Hospital in Midland for 25 years, retiring in 1999 from the maintenance department. Ronald was also a musician; his favorite instruments were the guitar and mandolin. He played in several bands including the Arizona Snowbirds, and the Midland Co. Chicken String Band. He was a member of the Weidman Eagles #4540 and a lifetime member of the Coleman VFW post 1071. He enjoyed traveling after retirement and spending winters in Arizona. Ronald is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son, Jason (Jenica) Jordan of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Nikko Jordan, Alec Jordan, and Ariana Painter; sister, Wanda (Charles) Stuart; and son in law, Robert Denslow. He is preceded in death by both parents; daughter, Valerie Denslow; brothers, Edward, and Douglas Jordan; sisters, Bonnie Riddle and Sarah Rogahn. Cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory and there will be a celebration of life on a future date.
