Ronald Ervin Packwood

Ronald Packwood, 84, of Harrison passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant.  Ronnie was born on July 26, 1939, in Bay City, MI, son of the late Clarence and Sadie (Secor) Packwood.  Before finishing High School, Ronnie joined the Airforce in 1957 and was stationed in Japan.  Here he met his beloved, Noriyo and they were married in 1958 in Japan.  They renewed their vows state side in 1960, at a Catholic Church in Flint.  Ronnie worked for several Flint Auto Makers before retiring after 30 years working.  Ronnie and Noriyo moved to Harrison where they enjoyed his retirement on Townline Lake. He liked to fish and spend time with his family.  Ronnie enjoyed hosting BBQs at his home and loved his dogs.  Ronnie is survived by his sister, Joyce (Roy) Persails of Gladwin; and many nieces and one nephew.  He is preceded in death by both parents; wife, Noriyo in 2003; brothers, Nelson and Melvin Packwood; and sister, Ella Thronson.  Cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory and a celebration of life will be held on a future date.
