Ronald E. Peterson passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital. Born on November 22, 1936, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Alvin and Odette (Clark) Peterson.
Ronald graduated from Fairchild High School as part of the class of 1954 in Fairchild, WI. He continued his pursuit of education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, earning his Bachelor of Science in 1966, a milestone that laid the groundwork for the notable career that followed.
A proud member of the U.S. Air Force, Ronald served his country with distinction, carrying the values of duty and commitment into every aspect of his life. Following his military service, Ronald embarked on a long and successful tenure with Chrysler Corporation, beginning in 1958. Over the course of more than four decades, Ronald contributed his expertise to the company in a variety of roles, serving as an industrial engineer, quality control engineer, and process control manager.
Beyond his career, Ronald was known for his love of the outdoors and active engagement with his interests. He found great enjoyment in golfing, fishing, and hunting. Ronald was also a proud member of the Weidman Eagles Club.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Linda (Weber) Peterson; daughter, Traci (Greg) Nielsen; step-daughter, Kelli (Randy) Akins; step-son-in-law, Mark Steiner; brother, Glen (Carol) Peterson; and sister, Kathy (Arnold) Thur. He is remembered fondly by his grandchildren, Gregory and Giuliana; step-grandchildren, Ryan and Steven; and his step-great-granddaughters Kalie, Audrina, and Gianna.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Odette (Clark) Peterson; 3 brothers, Richard, Wallace, and Leonard; step-daughter Lorri Steiner; and step-grandson, Brian Akins.
Throughout his life, Ronald E. Peterson exemplified steadfast devotion to his family, his work, and his community. The impact of his kindness, perseverance, and gentle nature endures in the hearts of all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place, and there are no services scheduled at this time. Those wishing to donate in Ronald's name may do so to the Methodist Church in Weidman, MI.
